The eagerly awaited dates for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) counselling have been announced by the newly appointed President of the WBJEE Board (WBJEEB), Sonali Chakravarti Banerjee. The online counselling process, or e-counselling, is set to take place from July 10 to August 5, 2024, facilitating admissions to undergraduate courses in engineering, technology, and architecture at various colleges and universities in the state.
The announcement was made at the inaugural session of the 'Pre-Counseling Fair,' organised by the Association of Professional Academic Institutions (APAI) at Netaji Indoor Stadium. The fair aims to provide detailed information about the counseling process and the institutions involved.
This year, a total of 35,000 seats will be available for aspiring students across 83 institutions, which include 10 state-aided universities, 9 government engineering colleges, 7 private universities, and 56 private engineering colleges. There will be opportunities to enroll in 60 different branches of study.
The WBJEE 2024 exam was held on April 28, 2024, with results declared on June 6, 2024. The counseling process is open to those who have secured ranks in either the JEE Main or the WBJEE exams. Interested candidates must register on the WBJEEB website to participate in the counselling process.
