The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has initiated the registration process for the UPSC IFS Exam 2024, starting from February 14, 2024. Aspiring candidates can access the application portal via the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

The deadline for application submission is scheduled until March 5, 2024. Notably, a correction window will become available from March 6 to March 12, 2024, allowing applicants to rectify any errors. The Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination is slated for May 26, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

• Prospective candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree with proficiency in subjects such as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from recognised institutions is acceptable.
• The age range for applicants should fall between 21 to 32 years as of August 1, 2024.

Application Fees

A nominal application fee of ₹100/- is applicable for candidates registering for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination. Payment can be made via various channels, including cash deposit at any SBI branch, net banking facility of State Bank of India or through Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit card, UPI Payment, or Internet Banking from any bank. It's worth noting that female candidates, along with those belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD categories, are exempted from this fee.
