Good news for students willing to take admission in the Sainik Schools across the country. The National Testing Agency has come out with a notification for conducting All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) - 2024 for admission to Class VI and Class IX for the academic year 2024-25 in 33 Sainik Schools across the country.
The examination will be conducted on January 21, 2024 in a pen and paper mode at 186 cities across the country and candidates will have to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
The application process has already begun and Parents/Guardians of candidates willing to take admission in Sainik Schools can submit their applications on the official website of NTA at exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/ up to December 16.
Eligibility criteria for Class VI
Candidates should be between the age of 10 and 12 years as on March 31, 2024. The admission for Girls is also open for class VI, subject to availability of vacancies and the age criteria is same as that of boys.
Eligibility criteria for Class IX
Candidates should be between the age of 13 and 15 years as on March 31, 2024 and should have passed Class VIII from a recognised school at the time of admission. Admission for girls is also open for Class IX, subject to availability of vacancies. The age criteria is also the same as that of boys.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to General category or wards of defence personnel and ex-servicemen/OBC(NCL) will have to pay an application fee of Rs 650
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500.
The application fee will have to be paid online by using debit card/credit card or NET banking.
