The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has extended the deadline for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 registration to October 22. Eligible candidates can now complete their registration by visiting the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The previous deadline was October 15.

How to Apply for CLAT 2025

  1. Visit the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  2. Open the CLAT 2025 registration page.
  3. Fill out the registration form and submit it.
  4. Use the candidate’s login credentials to access the application form.
  5. Complete the form, upload necessary documents, and pay the application fee.
  6. Save the confirmation page for future reference.

CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Undergraduate Programme (5-year integrated LLB)

  • General category: Minimum 45% in Class 12 or equivalent
  • SC/ ST/ PwD candidates: Minimum 40%
  • Candidates appearing for their final exams in 2025 can also apply.

For Postgraduate Programme (1-year LLM)

  • General category: Minimum 45% in LLB or equivalent
  • SC/ ST/ PwD candidates: Minimum 40%
  • Final year LLB candidates expecting results by 2025 are eligible.

CLAT 2025 Registration Fees

  • General/ OBC candidates: INR 4,000
  • SC/ ST/ BPL candidates: INR 3,500

Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, UPI, or net banking.

CLAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The CLAT 2025 exam will consist of 120 objective type questions in English. Candidates will have two hours to complete the test, with a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer. The exam will be conducted in offline mode from 2PM to 4PM.

Participating institutions include premier law schools such as National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru; National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad; and National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, among others.

CLAT 2025, a gateway for admissions to leading law universities, is scheduled for December 1, 2024.
