The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 counselling schedule shortly. Candidates will be able to access the schedule on the official website, mcc.nic.in, once it is announced. As of now, MCC has not confirmed the exact date and time for the release of the schedule.

NEET PG 2024 round 1 counselling registration began on September 20. However, the delay in releasing the full schedule has led to growing concerns among medical aspirants, who fear disruptions to the academic calendar. Various student associations and resident doctors have circulated a tentative schedule on social media, but MCC has maintained that the official schedule will be available soon.

In terms of the registration process, candidates are permitted to submit only one form for NEET-PG counselling. Multiple submissions will lead to disqualification, and further actions may be taken by MCC, under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

In addition to the ongoing counselling concerns, the Supreme Court is set to hear a plea on October 25 regarding the transparency of the NEET PG 2024 exam. A few aspirants had filed a petition requesting the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to release answer keys, response sheets, and raw scores, claiming that the board’s lack of clarity, especially with the use of the normalisation process, has raised doubts about the results.

The NEET PG All India Quota (AIQ) counselling will have four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.
