OPSC to recruit for the position of Assistant Professor - Check eligibility, Age limit

Good news for candidates looking for government jobs. The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited online application to recruit Assistant professors in Odisha Education service Branch for various government degree colleges in the state.

A total of 385 candidates will be recruited for the position in different disciplines. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online at the official website of the commission at opsc.gov.in.

Candidates will be able to submit their online application from March 12 to April 16 following which the link for online application will be deactivated.

Educational qualification

A candidate must possess a Master's Degree, with at least 55 per cent marks of its equivalent grade in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

Candidate must have also cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) or must have acquired a PhD degree in concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian university or Foreign University.

Age limit

Candidates applying for the position must not be above the age of 45 years and not under the age of 21 years on the last date of receiving/submission of online application on April 16, i.e. he or she must have been born not earlier than April 17, 1979 and not later than April 16, 2003.

The upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates and 10 years for persons with disabilities (more than 40 percent)
