To determine the schedule for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for SuperSpecialty (NEET SS) 2023 exams, the Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has asked all medical colleges and universities in India to provide the tentative exam schedule for the 2020 batch of the broad specialty PG courses.

PGMEB's order comes at a time when it is anticipated that the final exams for the 2020 batch of students taking these courses will be postponed because their academic year began later than expected due to COVID-19.

In accordance with the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000, the academic year for general postgraduate medical classes began on May 1 and ended on May 31, according to the board. The final exams for these classes were traditionally held in the months of March and April at medical universities.
