Four SWAYAM Yoga online credit courses on yoga, intellectual property (IP), and the fundamentals of remote sensing have been launched by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) platform.
S-VYASA of Bangalore is the company that created these online credit courses. In the presence of HR Nagendra, president and chancellor of the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthan, TG Sitharam introduced the online course.
In order to meet NEP-2020 goals for higher education, the AICTE chairman also underlined the importance of translating these courses into 12 various regional Indian languages.
Additionally, in the presence of RP Singh, director of ISRO Dehradun, he launched two online credit courses: one on Intellectual Property (IP) created by the MoE Innovation Cell under the direction of Abhay Jere, and the other on "Basics of Remote Sensing, GIS & GNSS Technology and their Applications" created by IIRS, Dehradun.
At the inauguration event, AICTE Chairman TG Sitharam stated, "AICTE offers thorough fundamental and advanced training, as well as post-certificate online courses on how to approach yoga as a vocation or business enterprise. In order to make yogapreneurship a viable career option, we are also working to improve the opportunities in the sector. It is possible for every Soul to be divine."
"The goal of life is to control both internal and outward nature so that this innate divinity can be revealed. You can achieve freedom through employment, prayer, philosophy, or psychological control. Based on this, we have adopted a broader definition of yoga that now encompasses the two streams of Yoga Jnana and Yoga Bhakti. In addition to yoga, AICTE also provides online classes in intellectual property and remote sensing fundamentals," he added.
