Armed Force Medical Services to accept NEET UG score for selection of female candidates for admission to BSc Nursing
National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for online submission of applications for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG to May 15, the testing agency said in a notification.
Students can apply online for the entrance exam till 9pm on May 15, while the online payment window will remain open till 11.50pm, the notification further read.
Earlier, the last date to apply for the medical entrance examination was May 6. The decision to extend the deadline was taken in the wake of the latest directive of the Director General of Armed Force Medical Services of accepting the NEET (UG) score for the “selection of female candidates only for admission to BSc (Nursing) course”.
Candidates seeking admission to BSc Nursing courses can apply for NEET UG by visiting the official website of NTA: https://neet.nta.nic.in/.
According to the latest notification from NTA, there are a total of 220 seats across six nursing colleges under the Armed Force Medical Services (AFMS).
The following colleges under AFMC are offering BSc nursing courses:
- College of Nursing, AFMC Pune (40 seats)
- College of Nursing, CH (EC) Kolkata (30 seats)
- College of Nursing, INHS Asvini, Mumbai (40 seats)
- College of Nursing, AH (R&R) New Delhi (30 seats)
- College of Nursing, CH (CC) Lucknow (40 seats)
- College of Nursing, CH (AF) Bangalore (40 seats)
