In a significant development, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the reopening of registrations for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG 2023) Round 3 Counselling. This decision comes as the Union health ministry approved to reduce the NEET PG cut-off score to zero, marking a major shift in the eligibility criteria.
Candidates looking to participate in the NEET PG Round 3 Counselling can access the registration link on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. All candidates who appeared for the NEET PG 2023 examination are eligible to take part in this counselling process.
Notably, candidates who had previously registered will need to reapply; however, they will have the opportunity to make fresh choices during the counselling process.
Previously, the NEET PG cut-off criteria required general category candidates to score at least the 50th percentile, while SC, ST, OBC, and General-PH categories had their respective qualifying percentiles set at 40th and 45th percentiles. However, in a groundbreaking move the Union health ministry has given the green light to a revised cut-off, reducing the qualifying percentile for all categories to zero.
This development opens up new possibilities for aspiring medical professionals, eliminating the need for stringent percentile-based eligibility criteria and permitting a broader pool of candidates to participate in the NEET PG 2023 Round 3 Counselling.
