The home of Nirmalendu Patra at Bankura brimmed with joy as the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) results were declared on Thursday afternoon. His son Kingshuk, a student of Bankura Zilla School, has topped the state in the exam, marking a momentous achievement for the family.
Emerging as the top scorer, Kingshuk's academic prowess shone brightly once again, following his stellar performance in the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination and JEE Mains Session 2, where he secured an impressive percentile.
Despite his remarkable achievements, Kingshuk remains grounded, attributing his success to the unwavering support of his parents and teachers. His dedication to academic excellence is evident in his rigorous preparation routine, which includes late-night study sessions and regular mock tests.
“The entire credit goes to my parents and teachers. I have always prepared myself targeting the JEE Advanced Exam. I used to study till late in the night for the exam and appear at mock tests regularly,” said Kingshuk.
While Kingshuk excels in multiple entrance examinations, his heart is set on pursuing BTech in Computer Science Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. His journey from a modest background, with both parents being educators, reflects the power of hard work and determination in overcoming challenges.
“He has always worked hard and has been serious about his studies. His teachers at Bankura Zilla School helped him in his studies throughout his journey and provided special attention to him,” said his father Nirmalendu Patra.
Sharing his preparation strategy with The Telegraph Online Edugraph, he said, “I never really prepared for the WBJEE Exam. All my focus was on JEE Advanced. I appeared for mock tests before the exam which helped a lot in improving my scores.”
As Kingshuk eagerly awaits the results of JEE Advanced 2024, scheduled for June 9, his story serves as an inspiration for millions of aspiring students across the nation.
