The NEET PG counseling 2023 stray vacancy round's qualifying requirements have been reaffirmed by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Candidates who don't have a place in the MCC or state counseling are therefore eligible for this round.

According to MCC, candidates who are given a place in the third round but choose not to accept admission are ineligible.

"In this regard, all colleges/candidates participating in PG Counselling 2023 are informed that the filter to weed out candidates joined through state counseling will be applied before Seat Processing of Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2023, according to NMC, in response to question number 37 in the information bulletin's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs),"

Candidates who joined a seat through state counseling will not be permitted to take part in the round for stray openings. In light of the foregoing, candidates who did not occupy a seat in any of the previous rounds of counseling provided by MCC or through state quota counseling are 'eligible' to participate in the stray vacancy round of PG counseling in 2023. Those who receive a seat in round three of PG counseling but do not accept it are 'Not Eligible' to take part in the round for open positions.
