The registration process for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2023, October session, commences today. The Pareekshabhavan will make the Kerala KTET application form 2023 available on its official website. The exam dates are set for December 29 and 30, as announced by the board.

Four Categories for the KTET Exam

The KTET notification 2023, along with the complete schedule, was released on the official website. The exam is designed for four categories, encompassing lower primary, upper primary, high school, and language teachers in Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu. Additionally, specialist teachers for art and craft, as well as sports, are included up to the upper primary level.

Key Dates and Application Fee

The last date for KTET registration is November 17. For updates regarding the TET exam, candidates can refer to ktet.kerala.gov.in, pareekshabhavan.kerala.gov.in, and the SCERT website, scert.kerala.gov.in. The KTET application fee stands at Rs 500 for each category. However, candidates from the SC, ST, and differently-abled categories will submit a reduced fee of Rs 250.

Exemptions and Eligibility

Notably, candidates who have qualified the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) at the primary stage are exempted from appearing for KTET category 1. Similarly, those who have passed the CTET at the elementary level need not take the KTET category 2 exam. Furthermore, individuals who have achieved qualifications such as NET, SET, MPhil, PhD, and MEd are not required to appear in categories 1 to 4. It must further be noted that passing KTET category 3 makes candidates eligible for category 2 as well.
