The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced that it will reopen the application window for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 following the release of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) results. As per the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET UG 2024 results are scheduled to be announced on June 14. Subsequently, the KEA will make the KCET application form available via their official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/, and the candidates can submit their applications up to June 17, 2024.
The KEA circular addressed the numerous requests from candidates and parents to reopen the registration portal for Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, and Homoeopathy courses in Karnataka.
Online registration is mandatory for admissions into these courses. The UGCET 2024, serving as the entrance exam for engineering, architecture, medical, dental, Ayurveda, Unani, and Homoeopathy courses, was conducted on April 18 and 19 in two shifts. However, exams scheduled for April 25 and 26 for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) were postponed to avoid a conflict with the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
