Sommet Education has partnered up the Indian School of Hospitality to offer world-standard education in hospitality and culinary arts in India.

Benoît-Etienne Domenget, the CEO of Sommet Education, and Dilip Puri, founder and CEO of Indian School of Hospitality, announced the partnership and plans for India at an event held in Delhi NCR.

Sommet Education, world leader in the hospitality and culinary education sector, owns renowned institutes namely Les Roches, École Ducasse and Glion Institute of Higher Education.

“India is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world, with hospitality and tourism contributing to a large share of economic growth and employment. As a dynamic young economy, India is the perfect development platform for international education brands to invest in and innovate,” said Benoit-Etienne Domenget, CEO of Sommet Education.

Under the partnership, the Indian School of Hospitality campus in Gurugram will be expanded with 25,000 sq ft additional area allotted to new classrooms, kitchens for training and student experience areas. Post expansion, the campus will be able to accommodate over 500 students. The construction has begun and it will be completed by 2022.

Sommet Education and Indian School of Hospitality are also planning to open a second campus. The new campus maybe located in Mumbai, Bengaluru or Hyderabad. There are also plans to launch École Ducasse studios in a few Indian cities. The network of studios will cater to the requirements of the professionals, aspirants and individuals looking forward to change their career for updating and acquiring new skills. The studios will be opened in New Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
