According to the poster, GATE 2025 results will be announced on March 19, 2025. The exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, facilitating admissions to master's programmes at IITs and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.

The examination will be conducted at designated centres across various cities and towns in India, as listed on the GATE 2025 website. The GATE 2025 score will be valid for three years from the result announcement date.

Eligibility Criteria

Students in the third or final year of any undergraduate degree programme, or those who have completed an approved degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, or humanities, are eligible to apply.

Important Dates

  • GATE 2025 registration will close on September 26 without a late fee and on October 7 with a late fee.
  • The application fee is set at INR 900 for candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, and for female applicants.
  • All other candidates will need to pay INR 1,800.

Exam Format

  • The exam will include 30 test papers, with candidates allowed to choose two papers from an approved list of combinations.
  • Additional two-paper combinations may be introduced later, depending on infrastructure and scheduling feasibility.
  • The GATE 2025 exam pattern entails a three-hour duration for each paper, conducted in a computer based test (CBT) format.
