Candidates clearing the IIT JAM 2024 exam will be eligible for admission to around 3,000 seats of masters programmes in IITs subject to satisfying the eligibility requirements and minimum educational qualifications
The JAM 2023 is a computer-based test in seven test papers. The papers will have multiple choice questions (MCQ), multiple select questions (MSQ) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions

For admission to postgraduate programs at the 21 IITs, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) will end the registration window for the Joint Admission Test for Madras (IIT JAM 2024). Applicants may register for the entrance exam at jam.iitm.ac.in, the official website.

Applicants are recommended by IIT Madras to get in touch with the relevant admissions office for more information. There are seven examination papers in the computer-based JAM 2023 exam. Multiple choice (MCQ), multiple select (MSQ), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions will all be included in the papers.

Applicants may take one or two examinations. According to IIT Madras, if there are two test papers, the second one needs to be carefully chosen to prevent session conflicts.

IIT JAM 2024: Steps to apply

  1. Visit the official website of IIT JAM
  2. On the homepage of the website, click on the link that reads 'Register'
  3. Register on the portal to generate credentials
  4. Login with the credentials
  5. Fill out the application form
  6. Upload the required documents
  7. Check all the details and submit
  8. Save the application form as a PDF for future reference
