GATE 2025 Registration Begins Today - Know How to Apply and Exam Details

Registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 officially begins today, August 28, 2024. Originally scheduled for August 24, 2024, the registration date was postponed. Despite the slight delay in the start of the registration process, all other key dates for GATE 2025 remain unchanged. The exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, as previously announced. Candidates must complete their registration by September 26, 2024, to avoid paying the late fee for application submission.

Steps to Apply for GATE 2025

1. Go to the official GATE 2025 portal at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
2. Create a new account by providing your email ID, mobile number, and other necessary details.
3. Log in with your credentials and fill in the application form with personal, academic, and contact details.
4. Upload the required documents, including your photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable).
5. Complete the payment process as per your category.
6. Review the information provided and submit your application.

Application Fee

For female candidates, as well as those belonging to SC, ST, or PwD categories, the regular application fee is ₹900. If the registration is completed after the regular deadline, a late fee of ₹1400 will be applicable.

For all other candidates, the regular application fee is ₹1800. In case of late registration, the fee increases to ₹2300.
