B.C Roy Multi-Speciality Medical Research Centre, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health (AIIHPH) will conduct a National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) online certification course in Health Promotion and Medical Intervention.
This eight-week course will begin from July 25 and will end by September 16. The exam will be conducted on September 25.
The course is open to candidates who are graduates in health sciences and students who have completed their post-graduate (medical) in Community Medicine, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Promotion; post-graduate nursing students and also students from allied disciplines. It will be beneficial for the Medical Officers also, who are involved in Public Health system
The course instructors are Dr Arista Lahiri, medical faculty and public health researcher, IIT Kharagpur; Dr Sweety Suman Jha, medical faculty at IIT Kharagpur with specialisation in adolescent health, health promotion, and non-communicable diseases; Dr Madumita Dobe, former director professor and head of the Department of Health Promotion and Education, All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata and Dr Chandrashekhar Taklikar, head of the Department of Health Promotion and Education, All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata.
The course is free to enroll and learn. But if you want a certificate, you have to register and write the proctored exam to be conducted in person at any of the designated exam centres. The exam is optional for a fee of Rs 1000. E-certificates will be provided to the candidates on successfully passing the average assignment score. The certificate will have the candidate’s name, photograph and the score acquired in the final exam with the breakup. It will have the logos of NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur. It will be e-verifiable at nptel.ac.in/noc.
