The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will conclude the registration process for the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM 2024) today. Prospective candidates aiming for postgraduate programs in various Indian Institutes of Technology can submit their applications on the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in.
IIT Madras is set to administer the JAM 2024 examination for admissions to MSc, MSc Tech, MS Research, MSc.-MTech dual degree, Joint MSc - PhD, MSc - PhD dual degree programs across 23 IITs and other participating institutes.
Applicants for JAM are required to hold a bachelor's degree, and they must provide proof of graduation before the application deadline. For candidates in the General and OBC (NCL) categories, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or a 5.5 out of 10 CGPA or CPI without rounding off is mandatory. However, there is a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for candidates in the SC/ST and PwD categories.
The registration fee for unreserved and OBC category students is Rs 1,800, while those taking two papers will need to pay Rs 2,500. In contrast, SC, ST, PwD category, and female aspirants will pay a reduced fee of Rs 900 for one paper and Rs 1,250 for two papers.
