The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will be conducting the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024. The GATE 2024 will take place on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, with two shifts each day—shift 1 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and shift 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Candidates appearing in the GATE 2024 exam are required to bring their GATE admit card 2024 and a valid photo ID (PAN card, Aadhar card, driving licence, voter ID card, or passport) for verification. Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to arrive at the exam centre at least one hour before the scheduled time to prevent any delays.
The GATE 2024 exam will be of 3 hours and consist of 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. Among these, 10 questions amounting to 15 marks will be from General Aptitude (GA). While multiple-choice questions incur negative marking, questions with numerical answers do not.
Essential guidelines for GATE 2024 exam day:
1. Carry GATE admit card 2024 and a valid photo ID.
2. Report to the exam centre 90 minutes before the exam.
3. Logging in is not allowed 30 minutes after the exam starts.
4. Bring a personal pen as exchange of stationary is prohibited.
5. Log in and read instructions 20 minutes before the exam.
6. Bring a clear water bottle, mask, and pocket-sized hand sanitizer.
7. Strictly avoid electronic gadgets like mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth earphones, or calculators.
