The Graduate Aptitude Examination in Engineering (GATE 2023) results will be released by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) on 16 March 2023.
The GATE 2023 results will be announced using normalised scores. On the IIT-K official website, gate.iitk.ac.in, candidates who took the examination can view their GATE results.
GATE 2023: Steps to calculate the marks
- The marks will be calculated out of 100 for 65 questions
- Candidates will be rewarded with either 1 or 2 marks on each correct answer
- On every incorrect answer, there will be a deduction of 1/3 or 2/3 marks
- For Numerical Answer Type (NAT) & Multiple-choice questions (MCQs), there will be no deduction of marks
The raw marks that candidates receive in various sessions will be transformed into GATE scores in accordance with the normalisation policy. After the results are announced, the GATE 2023 score is valid for 3 years.
