Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri, a premier tech cradle in the coal hub of Dhanbad in Jharkhand, has bagged laurels in the Internshala annual ranking 2021.
According to the training and placement officer of BIT Sindri, Ghanshyam Rai, the institute has been ranked 30 in the all-India level out of 1,123 participating colleges across India. This information, Rai said, was shared by Internshala.
In the eastern zone, it received the fifth rank out of 126 participating colleges from the same zone.
The institute also recorded a good internship selection with 641 offers out of 1,432 applicants. In addition, it also got 95 pre-placement offers out of 3985 registered students.
“We received information from Internshala stating that our institute was chosen for building a meaningful internship culture in our institution. The awards will be presented during a virtual felicitation ceremony on January 29, 2022,” said Rai.
BIT Sindri is controlled administratively by the department of science and technology of Jharkhand and academically it is affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University in Hazaribag for conducting examinations and awarding degrees.
