Firebolt Racing, the official off-road racing team of Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, is all geared up to get vrooming in the third phase of m-BAJA SAE 2022 in Pithampur, Indore.

The team will be represented by a multidisciplinary group of around 30 diligent automobile lovers.

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) India, has started the physical Round of the 15th edition BAJA SAE India after two years. The five-day event will incorporate the technical inspection of the physical ATVs of the participating teams, followed by dynamic events such as brakes, acceleration, draw pull, suspension and traction, manoeuvrability, and all-terrain performance.

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) India has resumed the physical round of the 15th edition BAJA SAE India after two years. The five-day event will include technical inspection of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) of the participating teams, followed by dynamic events such as brakes, acceleration, draw pull, suspension and traction, manoeuvrability, and all-terrain performance.

The final day will see a four-hour endurance race, followed by the valedictory function.

The competition will be held at two locations — at Pithampur near Indore for mBAJA at NATRAX from April 6-10 and Bengaluru for eBAJA at Cambridge Institute of Technology from May 5-8.

Team Firebolt Racing will be competing against hundreds of other teams across the nation. In the run-up to the big event, the team held a valedictory ceremony.

BIT Mesra vice-chancellor Indranil Manna, registrar retired Col Sukhpal Singh Khetarpal and other senior administration and faculty members attended the programme. Mementos were conferred on the dignitaries by the vice-captain of the club, Shivansh Goyal.

Triyan Pal Arora (vice-captain), Ishan Shah (team manager), Animesh Prasad (manufacturing head), Anirudh Jajoo (senior executive member), Shashwat Varma (senior executive member) and other team members from the 2019 and 2020 batches were also present.
