BCI will release the application form of AIBE 2024 two months prior to the exam

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is held every year for issuing Certificate of Practice to lawyers. The Bar Council of India (BCI) conducts AIBE every year around September or October, and AIBE 2024 is also expected to be conducted in the same period of time. AIBE 2024 notification will be out by May - July 2023. As of now AIBE 2023 was conducted on 5 February 2023.

AIBE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who want to appear and qualify in AIBE must fulfil the eligibility criteria for obtaining COP.

  • Applicants who have passed a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam.
  • An applicant must be registered with their State Bar Councils as an Advocate (Provisionally). It must further be noted that the State Bar Council enrollment is mandatory for AIBE eligibility.
  • Applicants who are not enrolled as an advocate with the SBC, cannot apply for AIBE 2024.

AIBE 2024 Application Form

BCI will release the application form of AIBE 2024 two months prior to the exam. Applicants who are eligible to appear for AIBE 2024 can now apply online at: barcouncilofindia.org. They need to register for AIBE 2024 with their name, email ID, mobile number, SBC enrollment number and date of birth. Applicants can fill up the application form of AIBE 2024 by following the instructions below:

  • Necessary information: Category, Parent's name, language of AIBE test paper, test centre choice etc.
  • Academic information: Intermediate, Matriculation, Graduation, and LLB degree details
  • Documents: Copies of photograph and signature
  • Payment of fees: Using e-payment methods.
