The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education on Wednesday afternoon declared the results of West Bengal Higher Secondary Exam 2024. The results were declared via a press conference.
Ninety percent of the students who appeared in the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination qualified with Avik Das from McWilliam Higher Secondary School topping the examination with 496 marks (99.2 percent).
The results were declared on the 69th day following the conclusion of the examination. A total of 7,55, 324 candidates had appeared in the examination. Among the students who had appeared in the examination, 56 percent were girls and 44 percent were boys.
Pubra Medinipur has topped among the districts in terms of pass percentage with 95.77 percent of students appearing from the district qualifying in the examination.
Purba Medinipur is closely followed by South 24 Parganas (92.87 pc), West Medinipur (92.72 pc), Kalimpong (92.51 pc) and Kolkata (92.13 pc).
Among the male candidates who had appeared in the examination, 92.32 percent have passed the examination, while for girls, the pass percentage stands at 88.18 percent.
