Globsyn Business School (GBS), India’s first ‘Corporate B-School’, successfully hosted the Internal Hackathon 2024, under the aegis of Embryon – the entrepreneurship cell, a Beyond Education vertical. This dynamic event, aimed at fostering innovation, critical thinking, and creativity among the students, was held as a prelude to the national Smart India Hackathon 2024, which aligns with the Government of India’s nationwide initiative to address real-world challenges through technology-driven solutions.
Acting as a stepping stone to the main event, the Internal Hackathon 2024 offered a unique opportunity for students of Globsyn Business School sharpen their technical expertise, develop problem-solving strategies, and bring innovative ideas, which have potential to be exhibited at the national level, to life.

Chandrim Banerjee, Chief Advisor, CRISIL, and Principal Consultant, Asian Development Bank, judged the Internal Hackathon 2024, where fifteen teams were nominated for the prestigious Smart India Hackathon 2024 – the esteemed national initiative aimed at engaging students in addressing real-world challenges through innovation and problem solving. These young minds will be competing at the national level, representing the B-School, showcasing their innovative ideas and collaborative spirit.

With a legacy of more than two decades in postgraduate management education, the B-School has always focused on innovation with the appropriate use of technology, pertinent to the needs of time. In this context, Mr. Rahul Dasgupta, Director and Trustee, Globsyn Business School, said, “Over the last two decades, we have successfully nurtured several innovative business ideas as part of our entrepreneurship cell, Embryon, which is a vertical of the B-School’s Beyond Education initiative. Keeping true to our commitment of staying at the forefront of educational innovations, we are now leading the charge in integrating ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human values into our management education – ensuring that our students understand how to leverage technology responsibly. We are also encouraging them to build innovative business ideas in the areas of generative AI space.”
