Remembering legendary film maker Mrinal Sen, St Xavier's University, Kolkata on Tuesday, February 27, celebrated his centenary year with the screening of one of his most famous films, 'Bhuvan Shome' and a session by National Award winning filmmaker Shekhar Das.
The event was organised by Xavier's University Film Society (Xinephile) and was inaugurated by Dr Achyut Chetan, the Dean of Arts and Social Studies of St Xavier's University, Kolkata.

Dr Reshmi Naskar, Professor-in-charge, Xavier's University Film Society introduced the Guest of Honour, Sekhar Das to the crowd of over 350 movie enthusiasts who had assembled for the session.
The film was screened at Albert Huart Hall of the university and enthralled the audience with its storytelling prowess and visual brilliance.
