Science over Superstition –An awareness programme conducted by the Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology

The Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology held an awareness Programme in Vigyan Manch on 31 January 2023, ensuring students from different schools and colleges are motivated to dream and perhaps follow their footsteps one day. Inspiring students to take a scientific approach in life – and Awareness Programme organised by Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology.

The schools which participated were The BSS School, Jagabandhu Girls HighSchool, Delhi Public School Ruby Park, Jadavpur Vidyapith and Engineering colleges as well as JIS College of Engineering. The events that followed included essay writing, drawing, scientific model making competitions according to age groups. An awareness walk was conducted from Deshapriya Park to Triangular Park for promoting science over superstition.

The BSS School actively participated in all the events and Hridika Ghosh of class 10 ‘B’ won the first prize in the essay writing competition, classes VI to X segment The BSS School won the 3rd prize and from class XI and XII category won the 2^nd prize. The BSS School received the 3rd prize in the Quiz Competition. The scientist in every child was awakened due to the fascinating seminar, workshops and competitions. The event thoroughly motivated all the 16 participants of The BSS School and it paved the way for budding experts in the field of science.
