 A special feature of the programme was the demonstration of a drone that had been designed and assembled independently by a student of Class VII. As it soared into the sky, the national flag unfurled - creating a surge of pride and awe in the hearts of the spectators.

Like every year, this year also, our school celebrated Independence Day on 15 August 2023 with much gaiety and alacrity. On this day the sense of happiness and pride could be clearly seen on the faces of all the students as we were celebrating its 77th Independence Day on 15th August 2023.

The program started with prayer at 9:30 am. The Principal Mr Terence John,  Vice-Principal Mr. R. Foran, Teacher in Charge Mr R. Green, Junior Co-Ordinator G. D’Souza, all the teachers, staff, students and the parents were present. A parade was organised by our School Prefects, which was led by two of our NCC Cadets, Arghya Karmakar and Srishti Chakraborty of class 7.

To emphasize Unity in Diversity, which lies at the heart of our national identity, an all faith prayer meeting was organised. A cultural programme was set to celebrate the spirit of 76 years of freedom with poem recitations, instrumental presentation and vocal presentation of patriotic songs, skits and musical drama directed by the teachers.

Everyone was overwhelmed when the Indian Tricolor was hoisted amidst the national anthem. And informed about greening. Silver Point School Interact Club organised a food distribution drive in association with APNI ROTI,  an NGO, on the auspicious occasion of India's  Independence Day.
