Cuisine to attire — every cultural aspect of Odisha will be showcased at Unexplored Odisha, to be hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar as a prelude to its socio-cultural fest Alma Fiesta.
IIT Bhubaneswar rolled out a series of Odisha-themed competitions to highlight the unique culture of the state and set the mood for the fest.
“Souvenir de Bonheur, a travel photography competition, highlights the evergreen travel destinations of the coastal state, while Food-O-Shoot, a food photography event, showcases the famous cuisines of the state. Dexterity, an art-craft competition, will remind you of the art and jewellery of the state and last, but not least, Saraca Asoca, a fashion event, is for fashion enthusiasts. The events have been planned and designed by the Alma team comprising second and third-year students of IIT Bhubaneswar. Meetings were held over Microsoft Teams,” said Avipsa Sahoo, a third-year Metallurgical Engineering student and the chief coordinator of Alma Fiesta.
Submissions have ended for Dexterity: Tongue of aesthetic, the art and craft competition, and Saraca Asoca, the fashion event. Results are expected to be out by December 13.
