Hack4Bengal, in association with the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, Department of IT and Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal, has made waves by hosting an extraordinary 30-hour hackathon, marking it as one of the largest and most prestigious events ever held in Eastern India. The Hackathon was live at Sister Nivedita University, starting from 9 July, 11 am and ending at 10 July, 5 pm. The support from renowned tech companies, coupled with the enthusiastic participation of various communities, has made Hack4Bengal a resounding success.
Over 300 people from all over the state and the country attended and participated in the event held in the City of Joy, making it Eastern India’s largest in-person (offline) hackathon. The idea behind Hack4Bengal, a student-led community initiative, was to bring together the best technology talent and give people a stage on which to showcase their abilities. It is a distinctive initiative designed to encourage innovation in India's eastern region.
