The Film and Media Council of IIT BHU will be organising a weekend full of extravaganza, the FMC Weekend from November 3 to November 5 to celebrate the creative process of the council. This will be the ninth edition of the event, which started way back in 2012.

The event is a yearly congregation of artists who unite to celebrate each other’s creative ability and is packed with a lot of enlightening workshops by notable experts in their fields and fun-filled evenings with crowd-favourite entertainers.

It consists of competitions, with amazing awards in every creative domain, including cine, photography, media, design, animation and social outreach.

The council comprises six clubs including Cinematography, Photography, Media, Design, Animation and Outreach and competitions, with amazing awards, are organised in each of these creative genres.

Several talents across the country will come together and participate against each other in the presence of judges who are top in their fields.

Pronites are one of the most awaited evenings of FMC Weekend. The previous editions of Weekend had performances by Comedian Shashwat Maheshwari and inspired by the poetry of Atmandeep Khyal and magic performance by Preveen Pandita.

Some of the notable workshops from last edition included a filmmaking workshop by Ritam Bhatnagar, a UI/UX workshop by Rishav Jain, a creative writing workshop by Nikita Singh and a photography masterclass by renowned wildlife photographer, Rathika Ramaswamy.
