The BSS School Primary Section recently held its highly anticipated annual event, Sparkle: An Inter-School Fest, with an impressive showcase of creativity and talent on November 7 and 8, 2024. At the event, young participants brought their energy and imagination to life, leaving everyone in awe of their remarkable skills.

The Chief Guest for the event was renowned singer Chandrabali Rudra Dutta. Together with the administrative heads of the school, they lit up the inauguration lamp, marking the fest's official beginning. The atmosphere came alive with an inauguration dance performed by the talented children of The BSS School, setting the tone for the magical journey that followed.

The fest featured a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of events on the first day, each highlighting the young participants' artistic flair, musical prowess and onstage skills. On the first day of the fest, leaves turned into wonders of the animal kingdom in Leafy Creations, while Clay Play transformed clay into a vibrant underwater scene. Wrap it up saw gifts wrapped up in innovative ways, putting a smile on everyone’s face. Simple pipe cleaners created magic as they were turned into magic wands. In Melodic Mashup, harmonious voices resonated in the air, painting melodies that showcased the wonderful world we live in. Dansation, a group dance event, made everyone giggle as the stage was transformed into a Clown Land.

The audience was captivated and moved as young performers from various schools across Kolkata took to the stage, dazzling everyone with their talent and passion. Day one of Sparkle unfolded as a remarkable journey of creativity, inspiring all present and leaving an unforgettable mark on their hearts.

After an exhilarating first day of Sparkle – The BSS School’s Primary Section fest – the spirit of joy and creativity continued to soar on day two. Held on the 8th of November, the festivities featured a captivating lineup of events: Salt N’ Pepper, Eco Eden, Sprite Up, Obstacle Obsession, Dribble Delight, Rocking Fame, Mythical Moves, and Fashionista.

In Salt N’ Pepper, young chefs enchanted everyone with their delicious creations, whipping up refreshing mocktails and desserts that dazzled the taste buds. Eco Eden transformed the venue into a lush showcase of miniature gardens, where students nurtured greenery and creativity hand in hand. Sprite Up invited budding digital storytellers to bring playful video games to life using Scratch. On the other hand, Obstacle Obsession celebrated athletic spirit with thrilling challenges that fostered a sense of teamwork and camaraderie.

Dribble Delight highlighted the art of basketball, where skill and precision took center stage. At the same time, Rocking Fame offered students the chance to shine under the spotlight, showcasing unique talents to an applauding audience.

Mythical Moves delighted spectators with a mesmerizing dance extravaganza that paid homage to India’s rich mythological and spiritual heritage. Fashionista took the audience on a sartorial journey inspired by the legendary Satyajit Ray, with students embodying characters from his timeless tales.
