As an innovative effort to facilitate all-round development of departmental students, recently the Department of BBA, Asutosh College, has introduced a ‘Reading Corner’ on the 3rd floor, ACTC Building exclusively for the students of the Department. It was inaugurated on 6April, 2023 by Prof. Apurba Ray, Vice-Principal , and Dr. Manas Kabi, Bursar of the College.
The inaugural programme has been organised by faculty members of BBA under the headship of Dr. Supriyo Das. In the inaugural program both Prof. Ray and Dr. Kabi have highly appreciated the initiative taken by the department and inspired the students to avail the facility on a regular basis. Dr. Das has emphasized the need as well as scope for the students to utilize their quality time by involving themselves actively with the reading corner. In this programme, an edited volume (EUPHUISM-2021-2022) containing distinctive research projects (submitted by the students of final semester) along with a portrait of Sir Asutosh Mukherjee, sketched by an ex-student of the department (Sri Anurag Sarkar) have been brought out.
The ‘Reading Corner’ contains not only academic books, but also books on self development, personality development, autobiography, adventure stories including current affairs, economic and business magazines, etc. Students of the department are highly enthusiastic to avail the facility of newly formed ‘Reading Corner’.
