The results can be viewed from 12.30pm on May 24 after council president Chiranjeeb Bhattacharya holds a press conference at noon.

A council official said students have to enter their roll numbers to view their results.

They can also view the results by downloading the app WBCHSE Results 2023 from Google Play Store or from www.results.shiksha.

Mark sheets and certificates will be distributed to representatives of schools on May 31 from 11am.

The list of camps where the distribution will take place has been uploaded on the council website.

The school leaving examination, which was held based on the entire syllabus and at “away centres” this year, started on March 14 and ended on March 27.

Last year, students had written the examination at their own schools based on a truncated syllabus in a departure from the usual practice.

Over eight lakh students wrote the examination at 2,439 venues.

A council official said this year, they were going to publish the results early compared with last year so candidates could get themselves ready for the centralised online undergraduate admission system. The education department introduced the system this year to bring uniformity in admissions.

Last year, the results were announced on June 10.

A council official said school heads have been told to hand over mark sheets and pass certificates at the earliest.

The results of Madhyamik were announced on May 18.
