This timeline is also applicable to the Combined Defence Services (CDS 1) Examination, 2025, which follows a similar schedule. However, candidates are advised to wait for the official notification for final confirmation of these dates.
How to Apply for UPSC NDA, NA Exam 2025
Visit the official website upsc.gov.in.
For new candidates, navigate to the Apply Online section and complete the One Time Registration (OTR).
After registration, log in using the candidate’s credentials.
Select the relevant examination and fill out the application form.
Upload the required documents, pay the application fee, and submit the form.
Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
Examination and Selection Details
UPSC conducts the NDA and NA entrance exams twice a year. The second exam for 2025 is tentatively scheduled for September 2025.
The selection process comprises:
A written examination
Mathematics Paper (300 marks)
General Ability Test (GAT) (600 marks)
Each paper is of 150 minutes, with objective-type questions. A penalty of 0.33 marks is applied for incorrect answers.
The SSB Interview (Services Selection Board Test): Conducted in two phases, carrying 900 marks in total. Candidates must clear the first phase to proceed to the second.
Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS): Mandatory for candidates aspiring to join the Air Force.
