These applicants must further note that the commission has also informed that it will entertain the appeal against the rejection within ten days

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a new notification declaring the application rejection of 80 applicants. Applicants who have applied for the UPSC Civil Service (Preliminary) Exam 2023 but owing to the non-payment of the fees their application has now been rejected. UPSC 2023 applications were shut down on 21 February.

The commission in its notice added that "since the confirmation has not been received from the bank authorities regarding the payment of INR 100 in respect of the 80 candidates for the UPSC Exam 2023, their application has now been rejected."

However, these applicants must further note that the commission has also informed that it will entertain the appeal against the rejection within ten days; i.e. until March 17, 2023." For appealing against the same rejected applicants will have to submit the documentary evidence of:

1. The system generated challan (in original), in case the fee is paid/ deposited via cash mode in SBI

2. The copy of the debit/ credit card statement or Bank account statement as the case may be, if the fee has been paid through debit/ credit card or through internet banking of authorised banks.
