According to the notification, the recommended candidates include 92 for Civil Engineering, 18 for Mechanical Engineering, 26 for Electrical Engineering, and 70 for Electronics and Telecommunication (E&T) Engineering.

Among the selected candidates, the general category accounts for the highest representation with 71 candidates, followed by Other Backward Classes (OBC) with 59, Scheduled Castes (SC) with 34, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) with 22, and Scheduled Tribes (ST) with 20 candidates.

The commission noted that the candidature of 43 recommended candidates remains provisional, including 17 in Civil Engineering, 2 in Mechanical Engineering, 6 in Electrical Engineering, and 18 in E&T Engineering. Roll numbers of these candidates have been published in the result notification.

As per UPSC regulations, a reserve list of 82 candidates has been maintained to fill vacancies, if required.

The examination process included a written test conducted in June, followed by interviews or personality tests held between October and November.

The recruitment process aims to fill a total of 251 vacancies. The commission has clarified that appointments will be made strictly in accordance with existing rules, based on ranks achieved and the service preferences expressed by the candidates.
