The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) is set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 tomorrow, November 24. The exam, a gateway to premier management institutes in India, will be held in three shifts: 8.30AM to 10.30AM, 12.30PM to 2.30PM, and 4.30PM to 6.30PM.
Key CAT 2024 Exam Day Requirements
1. Candidates must carry a printed copy of their CAT 2024 admit card along with a valid government-issued photo ID for verification. Accepted IDs include Aadhaar, PAN card, voter ID, passport, or driving license.
2. To ensure smooth entry, candidates are advised to arrive at the exam centre at least an hour before their allotted shift.
3. A simple ballpoint pen is mandatory for the test, as rough sheets will be provided at the venue.
4. Attach the candidate’s most recent passport-sized photograph to the admit card before arriving at the exam centre.
5. Carry the admit card along with an original, valid photo ID proof.
6. Late arrivals will not be permitted entry once the gates are closed, irrespective of the reason.
7. Strictly avoid bringing prohibited items such as mobile phones, calculators, alarm clocks, or any electronic devices.
8. Candidates must remain seated until the exam concludes. Re-entry into the hall is not allowed after submission.
9. Any malpractice or impersonation will lead to immediate disqualification and may result in legal action.
CAT 2024 Exam Structure and Marking Scheme
The CAT 2024 exam comprises three sections:
1. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
3. Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
The paper will feature a total of 66 questions. Each correct answer will fetch three marks, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. However, no negative marking will be applied to unanswered questions.
