The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that students can change the exam city or country for Term-1 Board Exam 2021.
According to the official notice issued by CBSE on November 8, “The facility for change of examination city/ country will be available to the students who are residing in some other city or country and not in the city or country where they are studying because of COVID.”
Candidates who come under this category can apply for a change of examination city for theory, practical, or both exams.
In order to place the request for exam city or country change, students have to make a request to the school by November 10, midnight. After this, the schools will send the requests to CBSE on the board’s website by the midnight of November 12.
The candidates will have the option to opt for only one city as a centre of examination for both theoretical and practical. Two separate centres i.e., one for theory and one for practical will not be permitted. If the student opts for change in the city centre for the theoretical examination, only he/she will have to compulsorily appear in the practical examination from the school of her/his regular studies.
The choice of city from where a student wishes to appear in the exam should be submitted carefully as no change will be allowed once a request is submitted by the school, the CBSE has informed. The schools will be able to download the admit cards with the changed centre of the examination from their school log-in account, it has added.
CBSE has announced to conduct the Term 1 board examination for Class X from November 30 and conclude on December 11. For Class XII, CBSE Term 1 board examination (for major subjects) is scheduled to be held between December 1 and December 22.
The board will likely release the admit card for the students of Classes X and XII anytime soon. Students enrolled for CBSE Board exams 2021-22, can download their admit cards from the official website, i.e., cbse.gov.in.
