The Economics Department of Scottish Church College, Kolkata is set to host the fifth edition of its much-anticipated annual academic fest, Econverge 2024. The fest is scheduled to take place on 26th and 27th November, 2024. This two-day extravaganza promises an engaging blend of academic rigour and cultural vibrancy, drawing participants from top institutions across Kolkata. Participating institutions include Jadavpur University, St. Xavier’s College, The Heritage College, Bethune College, The Bhawanipur Education Society ,among others ensuring a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives. Econverge’24 is expected to bring together over 500 students, encouraging learning and teamwork among participants.
This year’s edition will feature an exciting lineup of events including “Mock Stock Exchange”, “Quid Pro Quo”, “Paper Presentation”, “Creative Writing”, “Pitch a Thon”, “Bidding Wars”, “Lok Sabha Committee Simulation”, “Photography” along with “Quiz”, making its grand debut.
The highlight of the event will be the presence of the esteemed chief guest, Mr. Debasish Biswas, an award-winning mountaineer and Joint Commissioner of Income Tax. His inspiring journey and accomplishments will set the tone for a fest that celebrates resilience, ambition and excellence.
This fest is open to students and enthusiasts from all disciplines. Since its inception, Econverge has established itself as a premier platform for fostering critical thinking and innovative ideas.
