The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has recently released the revised provisional answer key for the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2023. Candidates aiming for admission into MTech, MBA, and MCA programmes can now access the updated answer key on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in.

Step-by-step instructions for downloading the revised PGCET answer key:

  1. Visit the official KEA website, kea.kar.nic.in.
  2. Click on the 'Admission' tab found on the homepage.
  3. Select 'PGCET 2023' from the dropdown menu.
  4. Locate the latest notification session, containing the link to the revised answer key.
  5. Now, choose between MTech, MCA, or MBA.
  6. The revised KEA PGCET answer key in PDF format will be displayed.
  7. Download and save it for future reference.

The PGCET merit list will be prepared separately for MBA, MCA, and MTech based on candidates' performance in both the entrance examination and their qualifying exams. Only individuals meeting the required qualifying marks will be considered eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks across all subjects for all years of their degree examination. However, SC, ST, and Category-1 candidates are subject to a minimum requirement of 45% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates must furnish a study certificate obtained from the head of the institution where they completed their Class 10, 12, and degree education.

Subsequent to the release of the final PGCET answer key, the counselling process will commence in order of merit. Notably, selected candidates with an annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh will be granted a full 100% fee exemption from government college seats. For those with family incomes ranging from ₹2.5 lakh to ₹10 lakh, a 50% fee exemption in government colleges will be provided.

  2. A copy of the fee challan
  3. Admit card
  4. Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
  5. Degree mark sheet
  6. Study certificate endorsed by the institution
  7. GATE scorecard (if applicable)
  8. Category certificate.
