The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay will close the registration process for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025 today, November 18, 2024. Eligible candidates who wish to apply for this prestigious entrance exam must complete their registrations by 5PM on the official website, uceed.iitb.ac.in.
How to Apply for UCEED 2025
- Visit the official website uceed.iitb.ac.in.
- Click on the ‘UCEED 2025 Registration’ link.
- Register with the candidate’s details and log in.
- Fill out the application form and pay the applicable fee.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
- Print a copy for future reference.
UCEED 2025 Exam Date and Format
The UCEED 2025 is scheduled for January 19, 2025, and will take place in a single session from 9AM to noon across 27 cities nationwide.
The three-hour examination is divided into two sections:
- Part A: A computer-based test assessing knowledge and reasoning skills.
- Part B: A sketching test to be completed on a provided sheet.
Both sections are mandatory, and failure to attempt either will result in disqualification.
Eligibility Criteria for UCEED 2025
Applicants must have passed class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or be appearing for the same in 2025 for the first time in any stream, including Science, Commerce, or Arts. Age eligibility is as follows:
- Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL candidates: Born on or after October 1, 2000.
- SC/ ST/ PwD candidates: Born on or after October 1, 1995.
Registration Fees for UCEED 2025
- General/ EWS/ OBC-NCL candidates: INR 4,000
- Female/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates: INR 2,000
UCEED scores are the gateway to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur, among other institutions. IIT Bombay is the organising body for UCEED 2025.
For postgraduate studies, candidates can qualify through the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED), which allows admission to Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes. CEED 2025 scores remain valid for one year from the date of result declaration.
