The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the CEED and UCEED 2024 programmes. Eligible candidates now have until November 6, 2023 to complete their applications for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED 2024) and CEED 2024. To register, visit the official websites, ceed.iitb.ac.in and uceed.iitb.ac.in.

Late registrations with an additional fee of ₹1,900 will be accepted from November 7 to 13, 2023. It's important to note that after November 6, 2023 an extra late fee of ₹1,900 will be applicable.

The admit cards for UCEED and CEED will be made available on January 5, 2025. The CEED 2024 is scheduled to take place from 9AM to noon on January 25, 2024, while UCEED will be conducted on January 21, 2024. CEED 2024 results are expected to be announced on March 6, 2024.

UCEED serves as the gateway for admissions to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.

UCEED Eligibility Criteria:

Students who have either passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2023, or are set to appear in 2024, in any stream, are eligible to participate in UCEED 2024.

CEED Participating Institutions:

CEED 2024 is the key to admission in postgraduate design programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur. Additionally, scores will be shared with other institutes, including World University of Design Sonepat, RV University Bengaluru, and Delhi Technological University.

The CEED 2024 examination will consist of two parts – Part A and Part B. Part A will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Meanwhile, Part B will feature five questions. In the final CEED score calculation, Part A will hold a 25% weightage, while Part B will carry a substantial 75% weightage. Candidates are required to attempt questions from both parts for a comprehensive evaluation.
