A total of 7,951 vacancies are up for grabs for aspiring engineers looking to begin their careers in the Indian Railways.
Application Schedule
- Start of Application - July 30, 2024
- Last Date of Application - August 29, 2024
- Application Correction Window - August 30 to September 8, 2024
Examination Fee
Candidates belonging to the SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Transgender / Minorities / Economically Backward Class will have to pay a non-refundable amount of ₹250, whereas, other candidates will have to pay ₹500 as their examination or registration fee from which ₹400 will be refunded.
It must be noted by the candidates that only those who appear for the first stage of the CBT exam will get a refund of the fee as stated above.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a rigorous process comprising the following stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage I - Objective-type questions covering general awareness, mathematics, and reasoning.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) Stage II - Subject-related questions based on the candidate's engineering discipline.
- Document Verification (DV) - Verification of original documents.
- Medical Examination - Assessment of the candidate's physical fitness.
