This year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had one board exam. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the board divided the CBSE Class 10, 12, syllabus into two and held the board exams over two terms. Following COVID-19, the pass rate for both CBSE Classes 10 and 12 increased significantly.
According to the CBSE Class 12 results from the previous year, the overall pass rate rose by around 4% points compared to 2020. As the CBSE Board did not administer the exam but instead announced the results based on a different set of assessment criteria, the overall pass percentage in 2021 was close to 100 percent. 99.37% of Class 12 students in the CBSE passed, and 99.04% of Class 10 pupils were deemed successful.
Contrarily, the CBSE Class 10 results for last year showed an overall percentage of 94.40%, which is about 3 percentage points higher than the results for 2020. The Class 10 CBSE results for 2021 were 99.04%.
The alternative evaluation method employed by the schools in place of board exams, which were not held owing to the pandemic crisis, was what caused the sharp increase in the CBSE Class 10, 12 results 2023 in 2020-21.
Meanwhile, CBSE Class 12 Result 2023 is out and the passing percentage is 87.33. Candidates can check the result by clicking here.
