The National Law University (NLU), Delhi, has announced a reduction in the number of exam centres for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025, dropping from 35 to 31 locations. This decision was made due to an insufficient number of registered candidates in select cities. Eligible candidates can still apply for the AILET 2025 until November 18, 2024, via the official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.

Exam Centres Removed from AILET 2025

The following cities have been excluded from hosting the AILET exam due to low registration numbers:

  • Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh)
  • Kota
  • Shimla
  • Siliguri

According to the AILET 2025 information bulletin, test centres will not be set up in locations where the number of candidates is fewer than 100. In such cases, applicants will be reassigned to their second or third preferred city for the exam.

Updating Test City Preferences

Candidates who initially selected any of the four removed cities as their first preference are advised to update their test city preferences as soon as possible. This can be done by visiting the AILET 2025 portal and re-selecting their choices. The deadline for AILET 2025 applications remains November 18.

The AILET is conducted annually by NLU Delhi for admissions to its undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD programmes. According to the official schedule AILET 2025 will be conducted on December 8, 2024, and the admit cards for eligible candidates will be available for download from November 28, 2024, through the official website.
