The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025 registration deadline with a late fee has been extended to November 18, giving candidates more time to complete their application process. Initially, the deadline was set for November 8, but now applicants have an additional ten days to register for this national-level entrance exam that opens doors to premier design institutes in India.
Conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, UCEED is an entrance test for admissions to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes offered by several participating institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur.
Candidates who missed the initial registration period now have the opportunity to apply with a late fee until 5 PM on November 18, 2024. To register, applicants need to visit the official UCEED website (uceed.iitb.ac.in) and fill out the online application form. The late registration incurs an additional fee of ₹500 (Indian nationals) on top of the standard application charges, which vary based on the category of the applicant.
Applicants must have completed their Class 12 examination in 2024 or be appearing for the same in 2025. Candidates from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) are eligible to apply. There is no age limit for appearing in UCEED; however, candidates can only attempt the exam a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
UCEED 2025 will take place on January 19, 2025. The examination will consist of two parts—Part A (Computer-Based Test) and Part B (Drawing Test). Part A is divided into sections including numerical answer type, multiple select questions, and multiple choice questions. Part B involves a drawing question designed to test the candidate's drawing and creative abilities.
