The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the much awaited result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate, NEET-UG 2022 on their official website- neet.nta.nic.in. The undergraduate medical exam was conducted on 17 July in pen and paper based mode.
The category wise cut-off has also been released along with the result. Tanishka from Rajasthan tops the AIR 1 in the NEET UG 2022 followed by Vatsa Ashish Batra AIR 2 and Hrishikesh Nagbhushan Gangule AIR 3. The range of 715-117 marks is the passing mark for NEET 2022.
This year, the attendance recorded by the medical entrance examination was 94.2%. A total number of 18,72,343 candidates had registered this year for NEET UG 2022, highest number of registration compared to previous years. Of which, 17,64,571 had appeared. 9,93,069 candidates qualified for the NEET 2022 exam taking the overall percentage to 56.27%. Last year, 56.34% cleared the exam, nearly the same as this year.
Based on the NEET 2022 results, around 91,927 MBBS, 27,698 BDS, 52,720 AYSH seats, and 603 BVSc & AH seats will be offered in 612 medical and 317 dental colleges. Candidates who qualified for NEET UG results 2022 will now have to take part in the NEET counselling session conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota seats. The counselling for 85% state Quota seats will be conducted by the counselling authorities of the respective state.
